Trestle Hires Dusty Farkas and Justin Soderlund as Senior Project Managers
Trestle Community Management today announced it has hired Dusty Farkas and Justin Soderlund as Senior Project Managers working with Trestle’s Project Office.
Dusty and Justin bring a unique blend of hands-on expertise and academic knowledge to the Project Office. Their combined experience provides a strong and clear understanding of the complexities of community association management and building construction.
Dusty, a graduate of Washington State University, offers six years of robust project management experience. He is skilled in liaising between various stakeholders, from Board Members to Community Association Managers, and ensuring smooth coordination and progress of projects,.
Justin, a graduate from the NewSchool of Architecture and Design, has over a decade of hands-on construction experience. He started his journey as a carpenter and then advanced to the position of superintendent, honing his skills, and broadening his knowledge. Transitioning into project management five years ago, Justin leveraged his extensive field experience to successfully direct and oversee projects.
Together, Dusty and Justin exemplify the dedication and expertise that are the hallmark of Trestle’s Project Office. With the Team, they will be instrumental in managing complex projects and ensuring Client satisfaction.
What is The Project Office?
Designed to streamline and effectively execute insured and uninsured losses, reserve projects and large-scale exterior remediation efforts, The Project Office exclusively serves Trestle’s Clients.
Through this highly experienced and specialized Team, Trestle Clients receive fully engaged, dedicated project oversight while continuing to work with their Community Association Manager on the day-to-day operational aspects of their community. The Project Office serves all of Trestle’s Practices and through the joint effort with each Association’s Community Association Manager, ensures complex projects stay on track and proactive communication is provided to community members.
The Project Office’s Scope of Work
With years of experience successfully managing projects and advising Associations, Trestle’s Project Office specializes in the following project types:
- Unexpected loss coordination and supervision, including insurance claim management,
- Mitigation organization and oversight,
- Water loss remediation management,
- Reserve project planning and communication,
- Large-scale exterior remediation project planning, coordination, and implementation, and
- Guidance with complex funding needs, including loan assistance and special assessments.
Handling large-scale projects is a complex and challenging task for community Associations. Proper planning and coordination are crucial when it comes to executing complex reserve projects, such as painting a community’s buildings, roofing replacements, and other infrastructure upgrades. The Project Office Team works closely with Boards and the assigned Community Manager to prioritize projects and coordinate the proposal process, making sure reserve projects are completed to plan.

In order to best meet the needs of its Client Associations, Trestle has created specialized Practice Areas. Each Practice is dedicated to a specific Client-type. Through this model, Clients receive a high level of service provided by a devoted and specialized Team of experts.
